Florian Rietze came to music through detours. He did not receive any classical musical training at a young age, but acquired a number of skills as he grew up. These include playing the piano and intensive self study of music, synthesis and jazz theory. Florian studied audio engineering and has a broad knowledge in music production, sound design and composition. At first he used these skills mainly for solo releases and collaborations, focused on electronic music.
After some time as a DJ and live act in the Berlin club scene, he finally made the leap to the international stages. European-wide gigs followed and he became part of the French talent agency Muzo Creative. More releases followed and Florian Rietze got more attention in the scene. He also developed his very own live set and played exclusively his own productions at gigs for a long period of time.
In 2018, Florian Rietze completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in musicology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. For his Bachelor thesis he dealt with the analysis and documentation of his own live performance. The main focus was on the use of the software Ableton Live. He also regularly applies his skills with Ableton Live during live shows of the German-language pop singer Adel Tawil since 2017. Here it is mainly about bringing the songs on stage and playing the shows with a redundant Ableton Live system – live, together with the band and the singer. Again, he has been able to gain a lot of stage experience on big festivals and stages over these past years.
In addition to his work on music releases, live performances and other projects, Florian Rietze has also focused his work on film music and music for moving images, among other things. He offers sound design, music and audio logo design for projects of various kinds. His first film score will premiere in 2022.
